Training methods

The tools and the methodology used in training

1. Consultations with a client
A training program is organized according to the client's individual needs and expectations. This process includes:
  • a meeting with the customer: setting business goals, describing job functions, work organization, competency models, individual characteristics of the participants;
  • an online questionnaire for all the participants
  • optionally: an interview/observation of the selected participants during work-time (conducted in-person, online, or by phone).

These steps allow us to agree on a set of priorities and to verify that the proposed course of action is correct as well as to select the appropriate case studies and exercises. We also figure out a way to monitor progress during the course of the project to ensure that it's efficient and answers the client's current needs and expectations.

2. Homework
The participants will be assigned homework before and after each step of the training program. This prepares them for the next level and/or summarizes the completed workshop. Homework is usually monitored online. An example task
might be to implement a particular operating method, answer some questions or to do some recommended reading.

3. Game activities during training
A game activity is a very engaging training method, because it allows “learning through experience.” A game scenario introduces the rivaling teams of participants into a virtual, abstract world. To win, the participants must creatively use the tools and skills relevant to the workshop. When the game is over, we look for analogies and conclusions, which will help us deal with real business situations in the future.

4. Case studies and simulations
Simulations of real business situations such as personal and group meetings and presentations are some of the most important teaching tools that aid training in management and sales skills. Each simulated interaction is analyzed to discuss the strengths and areas for future growth, providing proper feedback.

5. Analytical tools
The training includes many exercises that show how to use the presented analytical tools (charts, spreadsheets) which makes work more efficient. This also includes ex. agendas/meeting minutes, task lists, customer analyses, personal maps.

6. Training materials
All participants will be provided with the training materials that include textbook explanations, exercise ideas and analytical tools. Paper exercise sheets will be handed out during workshops and the training materials will be sent out to the participants in a PDF format.

7. Action plans
Each series of training sessions will be concluded by preparing an individual action plan for each of the participants,
which will also serve as a commitment to use the selected skills acquired during training in everyday work.

8. Satisfaction survey
Our way of assessing the effectiveness of a series of training sessions is by gathering feedback from its participants i.e. kindly requesting them to fill a client satisfaction survey.

9. Post-training reports
After a workshop is complete, we prepare a final report which consists of:
  • Information about the course of the training
  • Client survey results
  • The trainers’ opinions and recommendations on how to gain confidence in the newly acquired skills

In addition every participant is awarded a training certificate.
